Sunday Stills: Fences

I wasn't exactly busy this week, but I never had any opportunity, or inspiration, to photograph a fence. None of them struck me as particularly interesting.
So I'm pulling a couple out of the archives, so to speak.

This is one of my favorite photographs. I took it last September at my in-law's ranch. I had gone up to see the mares and foals one last time before heading back to the road, and in the evening light, everything was cast in shades of blue. This is actually the gate on the corral fence, but it works with the fence, so maybe it counts.

This is another shot from last summer at the ranch. Malcolm and I had gone out on the four-wheeler to do something, I can't remember what we were doing exactly but we came across this solitary fence post with the remnants of an old barbed wire fence on the ground next to it. It was the only fence post for acres and acres.

Wow! Cool shots! In the first one, I really like the blurry background effect!and the grass too! The second one is very nostalgic! He is alone but is still standing tall! :D

Love them both! The solitary fence post is very interesting, a remnant of prior life you found in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful!

I love that first one... it was on my calendar you made, right? One of my favorites!

The second actually prompted emotions of sadness from me... a lonesome fencepost missing a time gone by.

I am going to join Sunday Stills! I just haven't had time (my forever excuse, huh?) :-)
