Sunday Stills: Clouds

I know its early, but we're going home and I don't know that I can get my internet to cooperate at the house. So I'm posting early this week, just in case.

This weeks Sunday Stills subject was clouds. "Easy" you say, and so did I. Except this week we've been under either clear washed out blue skies, or the overcast solid uninteresting gray ones. It stormed last night coming through Butte, and I'm sure the clouds and mountains were dramatic, but alas....it was after midnight. Not much in the way of cloud pictures from that experience.

That said, I'm using 4 of my favorites from my files. Sorry there is nothing fresh and new. I'll try harder next week.

Sunrise in Hardin, MT a couple years ago.

A storm cloud in the California Sierra Nevadas last summer.

Stormy skies over northwest Iowa in early July this year. This storm set down a few tornadoes in Minnesota and Iowa.

This storm passed over our house on June 20th. Some of you will remember that post. Twenty miles from us, it dropped a tornado on the events center in downtown Billings and did quite a bit of damage in town there.

There are lots more Sunday Stills posts to see! Click here and follow each comment link to view them.

Love these! The storm cloud in California looks like an ocean wave to me! :-)

Archives or not, this is a good selection. I love the sunset, and I got a photo of a cloud just like the California one. Enjoy your home time!

These are all very nice! I especially like the one in Iowa. I bet you see many beautiful skies from the road while driving, and you live in Big Sky country.
