Sometimes there is less stress if they can see each other. Dawn will be pretty uncomfortable as her udder fills up, but in a couple of days she'll be fine. Sky seems friendly, hope your next trip there you get to spend more time with him.Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15454110560303310751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2174142378463600739.post-33959194567208094612011-02-16T16:29:47.148-07:002011-02-16T16:29:47.148-07:00Too funny - glad she made it over the gate okay!
...Too funny - glad she made it over the gate okay!

We weaned successfully across a fence for a number of years. But the first year things didn't go so well, until we figured out that one of the mares would let any of the babies nurse, and would stand at the fence for them to do so. Finally ended up putting sheep panels up against the sucker rod where the lots adjoined so that little noses wouldn't fit through. After that things went much better.SunnySDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07591623033468632399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2174142378463600739.post-44990709562769600402011-02-16T09:27:21.400-07:002011-02-16T09:27:21.400-07:00I can't believe she jumped the gate and ran ba...I can't believe she jumped the gate and ran back home! It always makes me sad to witness weaning, even though I know it has to happen.Dreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02113432418609414054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2174142378463600739.post-11093698887052353562011-02-16T08:10:10.952-07:002011-02-16T08:10:10.952-07:00What a Beautiful Horse! Both Dawn and Sky are exceptionally beautiful. wow.
Looks like you got some lovely sun, despite the snow and ice on the ground. The scenery in your pictures make me feel very peaceful. What a gorgeous place.Dannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12623233206043947281noreply@blogger.com
